To Schoorl

What a great day! Full on sun when we started and hardly any wind. We decided to take the beach route and continued on for about 5 km until we reached Bergen aan Zee. This was also the only place today with a coffee cup on the map. So we took advantage of that. 

Soon the route took us through open dunes and pine forests. Signage was good today so it was much more relaxing. We were also more on the ball and read what was coming up. It didn't take long before we reached Klimweg. I naively thought that this was a cute name. However, it is a literal name and we climbed up and up and then down again to get to our lodging.

Then we finally had a few snags. Our room was not ready and, even worse, our luggage had not arrived. I decided to have a bath and a nap while Jeff patiently sorted this all out. In the end a taxi had to pick our stuff up from the previous place and bring it here. Very annoying. It had all been arranged so nicely. 

Anyway, we are in a lovely hotel with a rather strange room (s). There is a small sitting room, a small bedroom with a tub right beside the bed, a WC, and then another little room with a shower and sink. Also, two tiny sun decks. Really interesting!

We are going to have dinner at the one star Michelin restaurant here. We will see how that will go. Hopefully no duck breast!
